We are looking for an energetic and passionate person who can handle all the key elements of a retail branded staples business independently, provide strategic direction to the enterprise and take responsibility for the top line and bottom line of the business, promoting and developing the company’s brand. This role will be responsible for leveraging the strength of parent organization and build a strong brand of staples through established channel, developing alternate channels, developing promotional strategies for growing the Food Business and opening-up new markets in India and abroad.

Education & Experience

  • Should be an MBA from a reputed college with over 15 years of techno-functional experience
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions in F&BSegment including sales, supply chain, procurement and operations
  • Experience in developing profitable strategies and execution
  • Understanding of exports market in order to grow the business outside India
  • Experience in Business Development and finding new business partners

Technical Skills

  • Experience in independently driving businesses
  • Ability to synergize Marketing & Product / Technology platform to drive the business
  • Acute understanding of the Consumer Buying Behavior of the target group and build successful marketing campaigns
  • Ability to manage delivery of multiple functions independently along with sales and pre-sales experience.
  • Candidate should be a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of FMCG/ consumer food products

Soft Skills

  • Excellent Communication Skills and willingness to fit in a collaborative and high value corporatework environment
  • Ability to lead people and collaborate with teams to understand business challenges and innovate solutions
  • Must have good relationship & collaboration skills, besides strong liaisoning abilities

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of vernacular language (Telegu) will be preferred
  • Prior experience in Andhra Pradesh will be preferred
  • Prior experience in consumer food (pulses, RTE/RTC) segment will be an advantage
  • Candidate should possess ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Candidate should have willingness to travel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Setting up General Trade & Modern Trade Channels
  • Building Regional & National Key Accounts
  • Setting up Supply Chain & Distribution
  • Contribute to the development and execution of customer & sales strategies to grow Product Portfolio
  • Support key stakeholders with analysis & market intelligence to create strong long-term and short-term sales strategies.
  • Prepare & analyze sales forecasts to deliver accurate volume projections and help with themanagement of the supply chain relationships within the independent channel
  • Effective management of trade spend activity
  • Go to Market Strategy & expansion strategy
  • Manage product portfolio to create new product development strategies
  • Business development & exploring new business avenues
  • Create a diversified Online B2B / B2C Strategy for Grocery products, preferably disrupting thetraditional delivery model.
  • Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact forimportant shareholders
  • Enforce adherence to legal, regulatory guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company's legality and business ethics
  • Improve the company’s overall supply chain/operations (upstream and downstream) to create strong performance of the company’s products.

Job Offer

  • This offer is for a period of one year on outsourcing basis, which can be extended on satisfactory completion with approval of competent authority.
  • Salary as per industry standards
  • The person will be working closely with MD, AP MARKFED and will be involved in various aspects of the business and strategy from the initial stages.

  • The prime objective of MARKUP is to bring the best Quality products directly from Farm to the Consumer’s plate.
